Non-profit and charity accounting FAQ
Answers to common questions in Ontario.
Do non-profits have to file tax returns?
Many must file a T2 or a T1044 Non-Profit Organization Information Return, depending on their income and assets. Registered charities file the T3010 every year.
When is the T3010 due?
Six months after the charity's fiscal year-end.
What financial statements does a non-profit need?
Members and funders generally expect annual statements, and some organizations must have them reviewed or audited depending on revenue and their governing rules. We prepare them and advise on the right level.
How much do non-profit and charity accounting services cost?
Fees depend on the scope and complexity of your situation. After a free consultation we give you a clear quote before any work begins.
